Len,

I most likely will be driving an '87 BMW 325is or possibly a '99 BMW M Coupe.

Pretty good size contingent of BMW/BMW products.

On StreetCarForums.Com, they are talking about the BMW Mvasion happening this weekend at the Chattanooga BMW dealership - some big BMW only car show.

Last Notice and Warning - I will start reaching out to other resources to fill the remaining spots starting tonight.

If you are seriously interested, and want to track your car for cheap with a group of friends, now is the time to commit and pay.

Still 6 spots available.

I will bring flyers about the event to distribute at the Non-Twilight Solo.

I will also bring some basic track rules information that I printed out for those who have signed up.

I am genuinely surprised that we haven't already reached 20 to make it a $100.00 Track Day.

There are always those lazy last minute guys like me. I'll probably sign up. I'm still waiting on the tires for the Z06 that I ordered over a month ago.

I may just bring out the STi or the Evo. We'll see.

I will be staying in Oxford, Alabama, (about 15 minutes from the Track) at a Hampton Inn with Davis and my brother the night before.

For any who want to stay in a hotel the night before, Oxford is the place to stay.

About half-way between Oxford and the Track is a "Jack's", an Alabama-only (I think) fast food joint that Davis and I really enjoy.  It may be a good spot for lunch and/or dinner the day of the event.  I will probably bring stuff to eat at the Track during the lunch break, so that I can remain on-site, but I am definitely planning on eating at Jack's for dinner.

Justin:

It's about 2.5 hours to the track or to Oxford, AL where the hotels are located.

Remember, as soon as you cross into Alabama, you are on Central (slow) Time.  You gain an hour heading in, lose that hour going home.

Len,   Summer being what it is..   Are there any special apparel requirements ?  .  Such as long pants or certain clothing being unacceptable ?

ie;  can we wear shorts as we do in autox...

Inquiring minds want to know ..:)

Last spot accounted for - Troy Watson will be joining us.  That is our 20 - we have achieved a $100.00 Track Day.

I'm sorry Hari - Troy beat you by a matter of less than an hour.

If there is a cancellation, I will try and get you together with that individual to take the spot.

I will post the final list, and more information for the participants shortly.

Steve:

I'll post some more details later, but shorts are a no-go, one of the Track rules.  I wear these breathable hiking style long pants that are UV resistant and wick moisture, and have a zipper at a point just above the knee in each pant leg to convert to shorts.

Academy Sports in Chattanooga or Hixson has these style pants for relatively cheap prices.  Dick's Sporting Goods also sells them.  Any long pants will do, but I prefer these over jeans or cotton khakis.

T-shirts or short sleeve shirts are fine.  Once again, I use wicking-type shirts.

Thanks Len..  Long pants are standard on most all tracks I've been to.   Being a slightly smaller venue at TGPR  I was hoping to get away with shorts...    The weather made me do it....

****SPOT AVAILABLE******

Len, Jeremy Brewton is not going to be able to make it. If someone wants his spot it can be sold. Contact Jeremy for payment arrangements. If someone just wants to paypal him the money or meet him in town (Chattanooga) I'm sure he would be happy to meet up.

Here's his number (423) 605-0940, call him for arrangements.

Thanks.

I will be bringing a smallish tailgating grill, and I believe Steve Reed will be also.  I plan on marinating some chicken for sammiches, and will offer the grill services to anyone else who wants to bring some chow to cook.

I can also bring some of my 5-gal gasoline race jugs if people feel the need to refill.  I have 5, and will likely use just 1 myself.  Let me know if you wanna borrow so I know how many to bring along.

Steve, Max and I will be staying at that Hampton Inn Fri eve.  Those staying should coordinate maybe for a later dinner?  I cannot leave my area till about 6pm, but there is that time zone gain.
