Status Update - 6/26/10:
1. Len Gregor
2. Davis Gregor
3. Jeff Gregor
4. Jeff Applebaum
5. Justin Wingfield
6. Allen Bradley
7. Travis Cox
8 Duane Inman
9. Phil Fitzmaurice
10. John Brown
11. T.J. McCallum
12. Richard Graves
This appears to be the current serious headcount - show me the money boys so I can get the deposit in to the Track. Thanks for the quick payment Jeff A. and Duane.
Eight more spots available to make our 20 max/$100.00 track day a reality. So that there is no confusion on this - I am not making any money on this -I, my son, and my brother are each paying the same as all other participants. All participants will be expected to work corners at some point(s) during the event when not running in order to make this possible.

My PM box no longer full.
If you got a flyer at the event, the email on the flyer is my PayPal address.
I want to reiterate a point that I have already tried to make - This Track Day is an extremely good deal, but that good deal is made possible because it is a "budget" affair. Unlike certain other track events, everyone participating will be expected to work at various points throughout the day to make this possible. This is not a catered lunch event. You will be expected to bring your own or plan the trip of approximately 15 minutes each way to get lunch somewhere. I plan on bringing. I think a grill is available.
I will post more later, but you can check out www.tgprace.com for track information and rules.
Two basic rules concerning humans, not cars - helmets and LONG pants. Yes, long pants in August in Alabama.
I went to Academy Sports before the last Track Day I attended this June and bought a pair of breathable, wicking, relatively cheap long pants designed for hikers (with a hidden zipper just above the knee of the pant legs so that they can be converted to shorts). These, along with a breathable, wicking shirt, worked really well - much better than jeans and a cotton t-shirt.
More Later,
Len

Len,
I'll watch this thread closely, if you need any cars I could jump in as the date draws closer if you need. I might just come on out and watch anyway.

"... everyone participating will be expected to work at various
points throughout the day to make this possible" --I'll work, but I'll be damned if I have to fetch cones or keep throwing yellows every other lap cause that truckster of yours can't keep from having agricultural excursions. --oh so THAT'S your reason for the zipper. Jeff:
After your above-comment, I feel like I need to have a talk with your wife - is there something you haven't told her?
I will, however, excuse your comment, and place you on the list of people that I really like right now, that is, those that have put their money where their mouth is and paid me $100.00 to show a TRUE commitment to this event:
1. Jeff Applebaum (A MINI AND the comments above are truly disturbing)
2. Duane Inman (Don't know him, gets a pass)
3. Phil Fitzmaurice (From Pennsylvania, will be lucky to get out of Alabama alive or not Deliveranced)
4. Justin Wingfield (May actually be the one to Deliverance Phil)
5. Travis Cox (Hate him)
6. Jeff Gregor ("BigChief" - 'nuff said)
7. Davis Gregor (Future teller of tales of difficult childhood)
8. Allen Bradley/Bradley Allen (Not real sure of true identity)
9. Len Gregor (Men want to be like him, Women want to be with him)
$1000.00 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit check has been mailed to the Track - no turning back.
The rest of yews need to man/woman - up.
Len

As I recall, for several years a Mini was your best, and likely only non-payrolled friend. Now you pass that torch to your son, who has probably a worse job than the men who pick up the roadkill you aim for, and you BELITTLE the amazing ride?

The best shirt I have found is the "Cool 18". You can get them at Kohls next to target on gunbarrel. The pants you can get a Dicks sporting goods on gunbarrel. The good ones are not cheap I have been wearing them to the events this year and I believe they are cooler than shorts. They wick the sweat away and keep the sun off. They dry super fast as well. I use them when I go fly fishing so their pretty tough if you buy the good ones. The cheap ones will tear on anything so you get what you pay fore. Just some info if any one is interested if not who cares no you know

Must remind oneself, Jeff's forefathers unable to spell, E before L, E before L in "Appel".
Germans.
As half Pole (Grzegorczyk became Gregor), my people don't have the fondest feelings for your people.
John Rehder:
Jump in, or let others know that any and all are welcome who understand the nature of this "budget" affair - one for all, all for one, to make it work for the lowest price with the most driving possible.
Don't tell me that we have stalled at 9 for true commitment to this event.
Even Germans are welcome.

Steve:
About to send you an email - I got your pm, but interestingly, I could not open it. I could open all others that came through, so I don't know if it is something unique regarding your pm in my account here, or it might be yours, you may want to check it out.
To all:
The highest scoring fighter squadron in the RAF during WW II was squadron 303, made up of Poles. Most kills in the Battle of Britain, even though they were activated and entered late, most kills over the course of the entire war.

Add yourself to the 9 committeds above for an even 10.
Some other expressions of interest from some, but I will strictly follow the pay to play rules I set out previously: First 20 to pay are in. An expressed commitment with no $$ will not secure a spot.

Because now-a-days every bleeding heart whiny-arse special interest group gets their 15 minutes of fame and government handouts. And because the term 'retarded' is no longer acceptable, Poles like Len can be proud. Dee-dee-dee!![]() |

Herr Appelbaum:
Right now, I'm in a Spitfire Supermarine, proud member of RAF squad 303. You are in a Messerscmitt bf 109, and just a little too slow.
Gute Nacht Meine Freund.
Just another kill for the 303.

Received confirmation from Track today - They have received our deposit and we now officially have the Track for August 14, 2010.
I will update the official list tonight, but I know we have 10 officially in. As it stands, it is a $200.00 track day with more track time than you or your car could probably take with only 10 drivers committed.
Those who "committed" but haven't paid - put your money where your mouth is.
Those who committed and paid - keep/start recruiting.
